ARF 6061 Tricopter V1 Released!

The 6061 ARF Tricopter is designed with the RC pilot in mind that doesn't have the time or want to search out and find all the needed parts.

Almost Ready to Fly ARF  V1 6061 Tricopter Frame. Includes 3- 840KV 25 amp/240 watt Brushless Outrunners, 4- 401b Gyros, 3- 30 Amp Brushless ESC,
4 amp UBEC, 3- 10x 4.8 Props,
1- Hitec HS-85MG Metal Geared Ball Bearing servo and standard 12" (38cm) booms, 3 way battery wiring harness (splits battery power to the 3 ECS/motors)
3-way Gain servo extension (allows 3 Gyro gains into 1 channel)
You will need a 3S/4S, 2100/3600mah, 20c or higher battery and a 6+ channel RC radio capable of heli 120 swash mixing with matching RX. Some assembly is required.

      ARF 6061 Tricopter V1 #T6AFRV1.
                              Price $399.98

Sorry Out of Stock! Due late Sept. 2010

Includes the following:

Light weight 6061 Tricopter Frame with 12" (38cm) Booms (15" to CG), Yaw pivot mount, Yaw Servo Mount and top & bottom main frames.

Three BC2836-8 840KV 240 watts 25 amps Brushless Outrunners with 4mm shaft and Prop adapters. 3mm connectors.
(3-4S Lipo)

Four 401B Gyros. The now famous 401B is known to have the same characteristics as the Futaba GY401. Excellent hold characteristics and a level of reliability only found in $100+ gyros.
The 401B Gyro has been proven by thousands of pilots to be stable and accurate in a variety of temperatures and helicopters.
Compatible with both Digital and Analog systems
Sensor vibration proofing
Simple sensitivity adjustment

Three Programmable ESC 30A Speed Controller (Same to Hobbywing)
    Input voltage: DC 6-16.8V(2-4S Lipo)
    BEC:5V 2amp
Running current:30A(Output: Continuous 30A, Burst 40A up to 10 Secs.)

    Size: 26mm (L) * 23mm (W) * 11mm (H).
    Weight: 32g.

Custom Wiring harness allows for the 3 ESC's to be plugged into 1 battery. UBEC comes with pass-through connector so the gyros and RC receiver can be powered before the ESC's and motors. This is a safety measure so the motors won't arm before the gyros which could cause the motor to suddenly start when the Tricopter is moved after powering up.
With this connector and separate BEC it will be safer to operate even though some Tricopter pilots go without it we recommend it.

3-way gyro gain harness. This is used for connecting the three gyro gains (not the Yaw Gyro) which then can be connected to the un-used throttle channel. Now the gyro gains can be set up to react differently to throttle settings. So you can have more/less gain at higher/lower throttle. Great for fine tuning a Tricopter. The Yaw gyro gain is connected and still adjusted as it would on a regular RC heli.
