Bushing mounted boom arms for better vibration damping from motors and also frames can be stacked with more center sections so you can add plenty of gear. The 6061Quadcopter frames are light weight and will be great for the Professional
or Do-it-Yourself RC pilot that demands performance as will as a good
looking aircraft. You can add your own electronics/gear or you may
already have a Quad-copter
made from lessor material and want to swap the gear to a better,
stronger airframe. For those that just want to get flying we
also have available a
complete ARF 6061 Quad
Our 6061 Quadcopter frames are Light Weight, Strong and Very Crash
Forgiving and are based on our popular Tricopter design making it easy to change over electronics on already built Quads.
Because the 6061 Quad frame handles abuse much better you'll spend
more time flying and less time repairing or gathering spare parts.
The 6061 Quad frame has Bushing Isolated Boom arms which are
designed with Aerial Photography (AP) and FPV piloting in mind. Because
the Quad booms are rubber bushing
isolated much less vibration is being transmitted to the main frame
giving better results which is ideal for use with HD cameras.
This is also an added benefit for the electronics, AP/FPV cameras and
other gear
that is typically mount on the frame. The booms can
easily be folded back making it easier for
transportation. We will also be adding other options like Landing gear,
Extended battery tray, GoPro HD/Point and Shoot cam tilt mount, etc....
So why not use Fiberglass, G-10, Wood
or Carbon Fiber? although these materials are good, strong and light
they lack the
ability to with stand a crash as well as aluminum when used as a
frame....and if aluminum is bent, it can
just be flatten back out in most cases so your good to fly again without having to
wait or make parts. If adding holes are
needed to mount cameras, etc...aluminum is still going to be strong
where the other
materials become weaker and even can splinter and/or separate the
laminated layers making them weak unless you use a special drill bit.
Even then it can be a problem.
Weight is less then 8oz /250 grams. Dimensions: motor to motor with stock 10" boom arms 25"/60cm and 4"/10cm center frame area.
The 6061 frame plate has a large Dimple Died hole just like those
used on full size aircraft and race cars. This type of hole gives even
better strength and rigidness along with making the plate lighter
weight.
Because the 6061 Quad frame is made from strong light weight aircraft aluminum
it can take the stress of RC flying better then most other materials
not to mention it looks sexy on the ground or flying overhead.
Different size boom arms are available (10" and 12").
Boom size Recommendations: 10" booms for 8", 9"- 10" props and 12" booms for 10", 11" or larger props.
