Back In Stock!! Great For HD and DSLR Cameras! New Wider Design at 5-3/4"_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Get Rid of those Waves / Ripples in your HD videos
Xtra Kit #. XEBM-600 with Anti-Vibe Bungee Mount Same as the Xtra XE-600 kit but with the Bungee Anit-Vibe cam mount included.
Designed for the FPV pilot that wants to have another camera on board
like an HD or Still camera but also wants to get rid of unwanted
vibrations that make for a poor quality picture. This mount is ideal
for tall thin HD cameras like Aipteks that have become popular because
of their cheap cost and good HD quality. Can be set up for tall or shorter cameras like the GoPro Hero HD.
The one major problem with
cheaper (under $300) and even more expensive HD cameras are they don't like vibrations along
with quick movements. With HD videos this can be seen as waves or
rippling.
The goal was to help remove the unwanted vibrations caused by RC helicopters.
After
14 months of developing and prototyping different set ups we found the
bungee mount worked the best for light weight cameras along with being
a cheaper alternative to electronically controlled mounts. We also designed an optional FPV camera mount (#BCM-600) so when piloting in first person view a pilot
can capture photo stills/HD video while still piloting by the standard
wireless system. The
other benefit is the FPV camera is attached to the bungee mount
allowing for better vibration free video to pilot your heli by. Also a
tilt tray can be added that allows both cameras to tilt together (not included. more info below)
. Included are 2 sets of different rated small bungee cords for using with
cameras of different weights. Extremely rigid design so it will not add to the vibrations and will handle up to 2 lbs of weight. Also fits
DSLR and Point & Shoot cameras (max 5-3/4" (14.5cm
width). Light weight at only 8.9 oz (259grams). Easy to set up and
install, comes partly assembled. Although the bungee mount and extended
gear was designed for the 600 class heli it's also light weight enough
for the 500 class helis (If using on a 500 class heli please email us so we can include a proper size frame mounting bracket).

Add-on Tilt Tray for XEBM-600 Anti-Vibe Bungee Mount! New
tilt tray that allows tilting of FPV camera along with second camera
like Aiptek's HD video camera (shown), DSLR, GoPro HD or any camera under 600 grams.
Works with XEBM-600 Bungee Anti-Vibe Camera Mount and made from T6 6061
light weight aluminum. Easy to install. Balanced for stability and
makes it easy on servo gears. Tilt tray has 3 different adjustments for different size cameras for better matched balancing. Servo needed to operate tilt. Max 5-1/2" (14cm) width.
Included: Tilt Tray Bracket, Servo mount, Servo linkage, Pivoting mounts, FPV cam mount and Hardware.
(Servo and cameras not included, recommended servo Hitec HS-85MG or equal).
The HD footage in this video was shot using the XBEM-600 (with #AO600-TL tilt tray)
Extremely windy day in the desert but the Anti-vibe Bungee mount still allowed a good picture.

Set-up Recommendations:
When
using the bungee mount it's best to have the bungees some-what loose at
first. Then if there's waves or rippling in the video try tightening
the bungees a little at a time until the vibrations are gone from the
video. Keeping in mind that your heli is in good flying condition with
all blades balanced and proper tracking. The XBEM-600 operates best with a well tuned RC Helicopter.
There is also a magic spot of 1800 RPM head speed.
Here's Why:
If your video camera is running at 30 frame per second then:
1800RPM / 60sec = 30 cycles per second
Any vibration at these 1800 RPM translates into 30 vibration per sec or 30 frames per sec!
What this means is that if you put you governor as close as possible to
1800 RPM then any vibration on your heli will be in sync with video
camera frame changes and will be not as visible on final video clip.

One of the
applications the use of a bungee anti-vibe mount started is in
radio stations and recording studios where it is necessary to remove
vibrations that are created from sound waves that are picked up by the
boom or mic stand. These
sound waves (bass, drums etc..) would cause the microphone to receive
vibrations allowing for poor results. Suspending the the mic from the
boom with a bungee designed cage removes the un-wanted vibrations giving better regenerated
audio. This is the same concept which allows the XEBM-600 to give great performance removing Bad Vibes at a much lower price then other alternatives.
